Stat counter has started logging my visits to my site even though I have set it to ignore me. I have been to the configure page, and made sure that it is set correctly. Any ideas?

This happened to me before. To fix it, I simply followed the instructions in the support FAQ exactly:
How do you make sure that 'you' are NOT counted by Statcounter (MSIE Browser 6.0) ?
1. Start Internet Explorer (MSIE 6.0)
2. Click on the Tools menu botton.
3. Click Internet Options
4. Click the delete cookies button and confirm when it asks you if you are sure (there is a bug with MSIE 6.0 and this has to be done first)
5. In the Internet Options dialog box, then click the Privacy tab.
6. Keep the setting to Medium and then click on the Edit button.
7. It opens "Per Site Privacy Options" dialog box and here you type the complete address of the website i.e., http://www.statcounter.com & click Allow button followed by OK. Then click on Apply & OK so that MSIE always allows statcounter cookies to be created on your computer.
8. Important: Close all browser windows first! Then open up a new browser window.
9. Log on to http://www.statcounter.com and sign in with your username and password. Choose Configure Mode and go to Count Me page. Click on "Don't Count Me". From then on, anytime you visit your webpage, Statcounter will NOT count you.
This should work (it's working for me) if you are using MSIE. However, following steps 8 and 9 is sufficient if you are using Netscape or Mozilla browsers.
I didn't have any problems after doing this. Of course, I use MSIE 6.0 so it wasn't difficult for me. soundsalarming, maybe your browser (assuming its not MSIE 6.0) has a similar option?
good luck, hope this helps.
