what counter designs do you want? some can be very CPU intensive.

yes path is definitely coming back.

how long do you think until path is coming back?

you mean bandwidth intensive?
I don't want to acknoledge the opposition but Bravenet had some pretty nice counters such as:

ok after checking on my old stats I forgot bravenet has changed..its the reason I came to you guys....err uhhh I'll try and design one myself

whats with the google ads, I would click on revelvent ones but "fight against aids"?

No definite date for path yet.

We're very busy at the moment.

No I mean CPU intensive - bandwith is a non-issue.

if u have time could you explain to me how a small image is cpu intensive?

(run graphics library required to output counter image) x (millions of counter calls a day) = a lot of CPU usage

hey yo,

you still haven't replied to my "It Isn't HTML Strict as You Claim" post above?

another problem is that IE finds the cookies and BLOCKS them, this happens on all systems...I will find a print screen when I go on a comp with default settings...

anyway to support this until now theory I have Ad-Aware to thank:

don't worry about the thread, it breaks up when you post images to large, thats normal and happens on all "Post Your Desktop" threads..also try and remember I ain't against stat counter, I love it, Im just trying to make it better :)

We have worked with MSIE 6.0 so that it allows the cookies to be created, and it does.

Some users still set their security settings very high that will still block it, but for the most users the cookie is created.

okay, so ad-aware is just getting rid of your cookie because you track people going throughout the site?

and what about your code? not being HTML 4.01 Strict or Even XHTML strict..? Can I edit it so that it is?

In Ad-aware you can place the Statcounter cookie in the ignore-list so it will not be deleted.
