When I click on the Keyword feature, I anticipate seeing the typical list of keywords that the majority of people use when looking for items in my field.

Instead there are maybe 5 listings total that are very specific phrases or other very subjective two word phrases. Then when I drill down on each one, there are numerous IP addresses shown. Implying that all the people who visit my site are using these 5 bizarre search terms?!!

I don't get this at all. And this goes back to the topic I posted earlier (yesterday I think) regarding interpreting the data.

Forgive me if this question has already been asked and answered. And I understand that some features are still being tweaked. Any clarification from anyone is much appreciated. Thanks.

Webmaster: But what about when I first click on Keyword and get these odd results?????!!!!!! Forget the next step of drilling down. When shoppers look for the products I offer, the KWs they type in are pretty standard all the way around. Where did the KWs I'm seeing come from? Are they just temporary placeholders?

You have to realize that this keyword feature is HUGELY important. The KWs shown don't exist anywhere in my site as they are displayed by StatCounter.

I would appreciate it if you could address this part of my initial question. Thank you.

You can click the keyword to get the exact search that was done in the search engine, and see how you are being ranked for those keywords.

We don't control how good or bad a search engine is at delivering relevant results to users based on the keywords. We do track and report to you how they found your website, no matter how strange it may appear.
