Depends on the website - google changes the description that is displayed depending on the keywords used in the search.

If you have very little text content on your webpage then I would highly recommend you place the counter code at the bottom of your webpage - just before the </body>

If you have a lot of text content, then it really doesn't matter.


I'm especially interested as I may sign up for Google Alert. Wondering if my text content on webpage would be considered "enough" so that the point about Google search "really doesn't matter." www.gringoman.us

Don't understand it. I just clicked on the very same link and got my webpage, no error. Maybe I better add the http here, as in http://www.gringoman.us
