I have StatCounter installed on three web sites ... a photo blog, a personal blog and a web site design journal. The hits for the personal blog and the design journal are being logged together in the personal blog project.

The personal blog is at my root domain. The photo blog is located in a directory beneath that. The design journal is a subdomain off of the root domain.

How can I correct this? I have verified that I have the correct counter code installed in all three places ... why are the hits to the design journal being logged in the personal blog project?

TIA!

Hello,

that's very strange - I've looked at both of your websites and I'm tracked in the correct project. We'll try to find out, what's the problem, your code seems to be alright.

Best regards,
Martin

Thanks for taking a look at this. I think I have it fixed though. I took a closer look at the code being generated in the StatCounter interface and it appears that the ID number being generated was the same for both the personal blog and the design site. I hit the design site code generator again and the ID number changed. Then I changed the code on the site and it seems to have worked.

Weird though ... both had ID number the same until I clicked Generate New Code ....

Anyway ... all is well that ends well.

Happy Holidays!

Although not an identical problem, I do have something similar happening when I access my stats. I have two projects for the same website, one for the home page and a separate one for the rest - no problem with that, but I have another project for a completely separate website.

Sometimes, though not always, when I look at the first page of stats for one site it is ok, but when I click to look at the second page of stats for the same site, I get them for the other website instead of the one I am in!

It's a small annoyance, but one that puzzles me!
