I haven't heard anything more about the problem with tracking visits - are others experiencing this problem?

Out of the last 10 visits that we tracked with our internal web analysis software, Statcounter only shows 3 of these visits. We'd like to use StatCounter instead of having to deal with analyzing our own internal log files, but having only 30% of true visitors to our site won't work for us.

Any reasons why StatCounter isn't showing all visits?

The ones marked with * are those showing up in StatCounter out of the last ten visits to our site:

216.39.50.143
208.184.213.203
66.72.91.7*
66.194.6.77
82.145.229.33*
24.15.217.140
216.158.29.86
194.228.211.204
129.110.82.58*
208.184.213.201

StatCounter tracks real visitors to your websites. Unlike log files which monitor "server activity" we monitor "browser activity" which gives a very accurate count of the actual number of real visitors to your website.

Looking one of the visits, 24.15.217.140, which came from Netscape under the link http://search.netscape.com/ns/browse?id=60387&source=NSCPBrowse. This visit does not show up in StatCounter and is NOT server activity.

StatCounter is tracking 30% of visitors. If StatCounter can't determine this visit from its method of monitoring "browser activity", then it's missing 70% of visitor traffic and is not beneficial for us to use.
