I have recently changed my website. This involved changing it over from htm to asp. However, on some of the recent stats it shows that my visitors are viewing pages that used to be on the web but are no longer there. Please can you explain what is happening?
The counter takes the URL and page title for the current page the visitor is on. It stores that in the database. I'd double check the URLs that is saying people are visiting - if they are getting recorded people are visiting them.

Thanks for the information put the pages don't exist anymore. My whole website has been changed into .asp from .htm and the stats show that people are visiting pages ending in .htm that don't exist on the host anymore.
Is there any other reason?

Another reason I could think of may be the fact that people could be viewing cached copies of the the old pages either at ISP/proxy or search engine level.
Just a though
