the server is and was up fine - perhaps there was some problem with routing on the net. seems fine now.

I have the same problem...my invisible counter is now visible (complete with red 'x'). What's up? Does the code need updating? Server problems?

This should only have been for a very short length of time. We were tweaking the servers to get more performance out of them.

Thanks! I see that things are back to normal. Sorry to have panicked. I moved my StatCounter code to the bottom of each page just in case this happens again. That way it won't be quite so visibile.
