I just started using StatCounter on 1-19 via an upgraded (paid) account and it seems that I'm not even able to track a weeks worth of data, much less a whole month. I don't have access to any visitor information from 2 days ago. I've had less than the 1000 page views that come with the free account so I though with the upgraded account that I would be able to track at least 10 times that amount. Is there something in my configuration that is wrong or what? I need help.

Hello,

could you specify what's the problem in your stats? I dont' see what could be wrong.

Best regards,
Martin

Martin, I was under the impression that the free accounts, with a log size of 100, could track up to 1000 page views per day so at the end of a week they could use the 'keyword', 'came from' and 'popular' to get a detailed picture of their site traffic for the week, if they had under 1000 page views per day. I upgraded my account for 2 reasons, to be able to start tracking without waiting for the new servers and because I thought my traffic might push that 1000 page a day limit. With the increased log size I assumed that I would have access to stats for at least 10,000 page views which would give me at least a weeks worth of detail data to look at. Instead I have detail data on only the last 1000 visits or so. When I look at the 3 detail categories mentioned above the numbers are up and down like a yo-yo and there's no way to get an accurate picture of how my visitors are finding me, what keywords are used most and what pages are being viewed most over any span of time longer than a day.
Is my understanding of this service wrong?
Thanks,
Granny

Hello,

log size 1000 means that log can accept and store 1000 entriese about your visitors.

If you have more than 1000 visitors per day, the log will be overwritten each day (it's possible to store all the data). It seems you need greater size of the log.

Best regards,
Martin
