Counter code wreaks havoc....

Every time I paste the (invisible) counter code into my index page, it changes the color of the links (from pink to orange...yech!). Further, if I paste the code into the same place on my other pages, they simply don't even show up. I've had to make dummy pages so this mess isn't viewed by my visitors. Any ideas?

Try putting the StatCounter code at the bottom of your page...just before the </body>

That's exactly where I put it to start with...then I tried putting it right after my opening body tag. Still no go.

Okay...all fixed. Haven't a clue why, but adding additional color tags in front of all links seemed to fix the problem. Thanks for trying to help, Granny.
