I'm trying to put up a counter on my page in a weblog community (xanga.com). Every time I install the following code and save my changes, the bold part of the code disappears.

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var sc_project=233682;
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://www.statcounter.com/counter/counter.js"></script><noscript>http://c1.statcounter.com/counter.php?sc_project=233682&java=0 (http://www.statcounter.com) </noscript>

I'm assuming this is an integral part to the code because the counter hasn't been able to log any of my visits (I'm not blocking my visits).

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could overcome this problem...or if I had to take up my problem with the people at xanga.com and ask them for assistance.

Possibly xanga does not allow javascript and this is causing the problem but I am learning java so I could be wrong on this. The webmaster can probably answer this.

you can insert a less functional html only counter.

it will still track but you won't get all the best stats unfortunately.

You can generate the code by clicking the "html only counter" on the screen with the code, then click the 'generate code' button.
