I'm really happy with StatCounter and I'm very glad I found it. The only thing I miss, which has been a feature of previous page view counters I've used, is a monthly summary of the hits to each page. I could see exactly which pages were the most popular each month and which were least visited.

Having said that, there are a number of facilities here which haven't been available with other counters. I love being able to click on the magnifying glass and see exactly where in the world the visitor has come from. I also appreciate the support, which is head and shoulders above any other counter I've used. Finally, I'm enjoying this Forum. I've started coming to it, not because I have any problems, but just to read the posts and join in now and again.

So all in all, if my "wish" can't be granted, it's a small price to pay. But I thought I'd mention it anyway!

Your support is appreciated and noticed as well!

We do offer that feature you're talking about in terms of the popular stats. Then we also offer the extra functionality with being able to drill down through those pages as well.

But it is limited by the size of log though. I don't think we can do much more than we are for free at the moment.

I'm pink with pleased embarrassment!

Are you still hoping to start the $19 a year service that was mentioned a couple of months ago, and if yes, would that include the extra functionality?

I think I mentioned in an earlier post that my website helps to raise awareness of and funds for PDSA (www.catsup.co.uk/fundraising.htm) (Britain's largest veterinary charity). It's a hobby rather than a way of life and doesn't make enough for me to justify dipping into the profits to upgrade to one of the current packages, reasonable though they are. $19 is such a small amount that I wouldn't mind paying that out of my own pocket.

We plan to have many different upgrade options. And yes we are hoping to have something as cheap as $19 a year. But we have to completely automate all our billing systems and procedures first in order to efficiently handle the large volume we would get then. We are working on this and many more features, and hope to have them coming on stream by the end of April.
