Hi,

I'm a newbie here with two projects. One of them seems to be working fine but the other one is behaving strangely.

It appears that my log is full (100) but when I click on "Visitor" only one entry appears.

Did I do something wrong? On my other project I get 4 pages of entries on the Visitor page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi,

I'm still having the same problem: One of my two projects works fine but the other one is not the same at all.

The problem is in the display on the "visitor" page: One of my projects shows the last 100 visitors on that page. There are 5 pages with 20 visitors listed per page.

My other project only shows a very few on the "visitor" page. Even though the "summary" page shows 45 unique visitors today, the "visitor" page only lists one or two visits.

I have deleted this project twice and started over with new code but the same thing happens every time.

I would very much appreciate any help on this. Can you help me, Martin?

Thank you!

Wow ducky! You have just stumbled across a bug in StatCounter that noone has ever experienced before!

You have the code on your webpage very badly formed I'm afraid. That was causing the problem believe it or not.

We've fixed the problem up our end so now your stats should be working perfectly. Many thanks. But you need to take a look at the code of your HTML - it's very badly done I'm afraid. Extra <title> tags in particular.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I'm not sure I understand about the badly formed html but I will take a look at that. I just added the keywords to the title in the past couple of days. I read that the title was a good place for search engines to pick up keywords so I added them. Is that bad? I can change that very quickly. I'm wondering what other problems there is with the html. I will run an analysis on arachnaphilia and see what I can find.

Still wondering, though, just for my learning, if the problem was with my html, how have you fixed it on your end? Anyway, I'm on my way to check my stats and if they now show up on the visitor page I'll pop for a sasparilla... :)

Thank you VERY much. I certainly do appreciate you help and your advice. I confess I'm a self-taught amateur when it comes to html. :)

it's a long story to explain it - i won't bore you with the details.

Your HTML is just badly formed, and it caused a bug in StatCounter because of it. But we can now adapt to that bad form - but you should still probably clean up your own HTML. That's all I was saying.

ok, thanks. I'll do what I can to clean it up. Apparently the html on my other project was ok... or at least didn't cause the bug in StatCounter... so maybe I can compare them and see where I went wrong.

Thanks again. Have a great weekend!
