One of my two projects consists of photos. They are grouped into galleries which themselves are grouped into subjects. If the subject is X, the gallery 100 and it is the first picture, the URL shows something like this:
X/100-1.html
When Statcounter shows popularity of pages it always go deepest. Most of my visitors look at individual pictures, so Statcounter is counting those individual pictures visited. But I cannot get an impression of how many people have visited a certain gallery. This could be done by offering a way to Statcounter users to look at the URL just as far as the 'X' and count together all those URLs that begin with ...X/.
I realise you cannot show it like that as standard, because then your stats wouldn't make much sense for most users. But it would be nice to offer the possibility to your Statcounter users to cut the URL somewhere and then let Statcounter count all the hits. That way I could count the hits per gallery, or even the hits per subject.
I hope my explanation wasn't too confusion?
