Hi I just put together a website for someone to sell thier photographs. I think the site works well however, because the client only has about 27 photo prints to sell the site is lacking in content.
I need some front page content. Currently the front page contains mostly text. This format does not match the flow of the site.
If you have any suggestions for layout or content of this site I would love to hear it.
Thanx

Because you are trying to sell photographs from a independent photographer, I would stay away from ads on your site. Yeah, it makes you some money, but they really took my eyes off the focus of the site.

Oh, given the fascinating subject matter of Northern Lights, I'd hope to see a breathtaking splash on the first page, with smaller thumbnails for a few other choice photos. And yes, forfeit those annoying ads or put them over on the far right hand side in the area where you have to scroll to. ( ) With a fat border to separate from the main page content area. Or at the bottom of the page, where you have to scroll down, also separated by a fat border.

Yes get some nice images and maybe a logo for the site that incorporates an image or ties in with the theme. Also for the ads I would suggest Google Ad-Words as they are more subtle.
