View Full Version : Continued Log in Failure
I've read all the notices (including that the "log in failure" is fixed, the work arounds, the get rid of cookies...) I've done all the fixes and I still get into my projects but get bounced back to the "log in" page if I try to see my stats. At least here in New york the problem persists any help appreciated. :?

No problem here in Montreal :D In fact I never had any problem until tonight when I found out that what I had apparently bookmarked for this site was prefixed by s4 (which for some reason I'd never noticed before). That url no longer works, so I simply replaced that by www and I got back to where I was supposed to go.
http://s9.statcounter.com/project/standard/stats.php?project_id=210551
This is what shows up in the address bar when I get kicked out of my site.
Maybe this will mean something to some enlightened human.
Sure wish I was in Montreal

What URL are you using to get into Statcounter in the first place?
I use http://www.statcounter.com/project/ . I must admit I haven't had to log in again for a few days, because I simply chose to stay logged in, especially when I started reading about all the problems you've all been having.
Hmmm, maybe I should try to get in from my other computer where I haven't stored the login cookie and see what happens then.
You more than likely do not have cookies enabled - you need to enable cookies.

Ok, I tried getting in from a computer that's never visited the Statcounter site - no problem signing in at all!
Of course I first had to run adaware on that pc since my daughter's never run it in months! 283 assorted spyware and malaware found! Also had to manually remove some of the stuff from the registry as it was deeply rooted. I think, I hope I got rid of all of them. Got to have a good talk with my daughter!
Bottom line: In Montreal, I have no problem accessing my Statcounter account.
Now if only it would get a bit warmer....
Thanks Montreal and webmaster
Suddenly I'm getting in.
Haven't changed anything (Didn't change anything before it stopped working)
It is warmer here than Montreal :) but not by much
