I want to tell you about a new page I have just added to my web site. This isn't one of the many "please look at my site" posts, it is a genuine wish to share a disturbing account of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. I was very moved by what I read on that site and this is my way of helping to spread the story and ensure the world never forgets.

Yes, it is very moving indeed. I saw it in mid-April when it started spreading like wildfire.

The caption in the WebProWorld forum where I started reading it from was: We Take It ALL so Much for Granted (http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=17503) and this was a prime example of a totally non-commercial, informational, content-driven web site, in fact What The Net Could Be (as another article put it). By that time it had registered a few million hits already.

Trust me to always be the last to get there ... Oh well. :D

I have just become aware of substantial claims that this girls story about her visit to the Chernobyl Dead Zone was nothing more than a fanciful fabrication wrapped around a few elements of truth. These claims would appear to have credible substance.

My web page now explains that I, like many others, have probably been duped and carries my apology for helping to promote that deception.

What was to gain by such deceit defies my understanding.
