Okay, this thread doesn't really serve any purpose other than to ask for your rating and some suggestions about it.
I am going to have forums, but they're going to have numerous IPs blocked and high security because I have to keep the place clean. I already tried once with an invisionfree account and I didn't have enough flexibility to keep it clean.

Also, on a side note I have been doing web design for two years and I am now 14 years old. Also, can you StatCounter guys make it so that it doesn't mention "free" in your counters alt tag? It makes my site look very cheap and NASTY.

Hey nice website. Sorry but you can't change the code as provided. Of course anyone checking out the link will know it is not nasty, just a great free service! :)

Very neat! Super job.
If you have MySql and PHP support on your web hosting package you can download and install the free version of Invisionboard (NB: not the same as Invisionfree) from http://www.invisionboard.com/ and have full control. It doesn't show anything saying that it's free either :D

I'm not dissing the service. I recon its great, but the counter sometimes disfigures the page. Meh.
Btw, thanks for the great comments guys!

You can make it invisible. It wouldn't disfigure anything then.
Although I have a different notion myself of what disfigure means

Yeah, that would be great if I lived in the united states. Which I don't. I live in Australia.
I also have another problem:
Google hasn't visited my site yet! Its already been up two weeks.
It already has a few pages cached with links to mediahug, but it doesn't actually follow them to the site itself.
I also filled in the forms at google to have the googlebots crawl my site. They haven't yet.

It can be about 4-6 weeks before you get crawled. It depends on when you submit (if you submitted right before the googlebot gets to your section of the web (however it determines that) it can be immediate. I know mine was indexed in about 2 weeks but I know others that have taken longer.

Patience, Emile!
First of all two weeks is not that long. It can take Google and other search engine much longer than that to "find" you even if you have submitted to them
Second of all I took a look at your code. Your keywords may not be sufficient to get you indexed anywhere near the top even once your site is crawled. You'll need a few more distinct keywords to achieve that, I think.

Okay, how the hell do you know my name?
/me is spooked.
Btw, I installed phpbb because invisionboard is not free anymore. I just have a problem with the fact I cant moderate posts (I verify content before it is posted).

Sorry for spooking you, didn't mean to :) , but your name is right there on your web page when you look at the source code: View button in Internet Explorer or right click on the page.
Invisionboard is still free, or at least it was last time I looked. The latest trial version (v 1.3.1) which is fully operational and exactly the same as the paid up one, does not expire. What you don't get is support for the free versions, but you can always read their forum which covers all the topics. Any problem you may have with it, rest assured somebody else has had before you and it would have been addressed by the time you experience it yourself. The solution and the fix will be there. You have full access to downloads of revised versions and patches.
PHPBB is fine too, but it has less features than IBP. I found IPB offers more control over your user privileges. I have both types of forum, but my regular forum is IPB, while the PHPBB one I keep for testing and comparison purposes.
Your verifying content before it is posted will work as long as your forum isn't too busy and you are able to keep up with the task pretty much in real time. Otherwise your users will get fed up with waiting for their posts to appear and for replies to come in. You may want to allow posting but reserve your right to delete or edit anything that you find objectionable. You can put it word filters to censor bad language. You can ban users based on user name and/or IP address. You can restrict read /write access to members only or members of a special group on a per forum category basis, etc. You can give yourself the right to post HTML code, but not to others, and so on. IPB is stronger in this respect that PHPBB.

Houston! We have a problem! Invisionboard is asking for a MySQL database. I have only been given a Postgre database. Is there any way for me to make one myself? I don't own the server.

Oh! That's a problem alright. But then how did you manage a phpbb forum? That too requires a MySQL database! Or did you somehow get a different version?
In any case, if your webhosting service costs $30US or more per year, you shoud change. At www.solidinternet.com you get 500MB of space, 5GB of bandwidth per month, 10 MySql databases and lots of other goodies for $29.95 per year - that's all. Check out their forum at http://www.myacen.com/forums/index.php?referrerid=1726 .
Oh, and you'd be glad to hear that Solidinternet is an Australian webhosting company.:) (as is their parent company Myacen).

Oh, I can just ask my server provider to make me one, he will. I use him because he is my dads friend, so thats k. I am not paying for it!
PhpBB now acceps many different database types including Postgre and multiple MySQL versions.
Too bad the admin control is totally useless.

Anyway, I update the News & Updates section almost daily (its a blog) and I am working to get the gallery section done soon too. It will store my portfolio. Also, does anyone want to become an affilliate? I can advertise your site as long as you advertise mediahug. I will not accept free sites such as angelfire or geocities, but I WILL post .com, .net, .com._ccode_, .us and other short urls.
Please?
Edit: Google just cached the site! That's a GOOD THING!!!

A little belated perhaps, but what an excellent site, well done! ... don't worry about the keywords metatag thing (mentioned above) as S/Engines don't bother with them any more, and as your site uses alot of "Flash" and JScript (which the SE's have great difficulties with) they will have have alot of difficulties crawling the site anyway (to corroborate your "keywords")
You have probably noticed this already, but you are getting an error on your second "index" page, due to a missing bracket, but what an awesome little site! (I'm a bit jealous actually, with you being fourteen and everything).

ps it may be a good idea as well to put your JScript into a separate file(s) as well, to be called from your page as it loads using something like
<script src="JavaScript1.js"
language="javascript"
type="text/javascript"></script>
this will be better from a search engines point of view.

I don't know if you know this but I am using Mozila and your page doesn't seem to load, all that shows up is the moon picuture.
I hava had problem with making my sites cross-browser. You may want to test your sites in mulitiple browsers. IE is not the only thing out there.

boombatower,
Christina was joking around. Her signature refers to a thread on StatCounter before you were here and therefore won't make much sense to you. Flaming her was not needed, in addition typing in all caps is very annoying, which I am sure you know. So please no more all caps flame posts.
