Can anyone reccomend any decent ftp programs I could download from the web.

I am doing some stuff for a charity and they don't have the cash to buy their own.

Cheers.

If you're using a Mac, I recommend Hefty FTP (shareware).

Since switching from Fetch I've had no problems whatsoever.

CoffeeCup do a basic (but most importantly, free) ftp along with a host of other freeware: http://www.coffeecup.com/freestuff/
The ftp is very basic, but it works!

Unfortunatly I am not going to be using a mac at their premesis. Thanks for the suggestion.

Gadgerama have you used coffee cup? I like the idea of it being simple for them. They are going to be doing their own site maintenance.
Thanks.

Yep, it's just like me (cheap & simple .. ok, free). It might be an idea to download it yourself and have a rummage around before you make your choice. The only annoying thing about it is that when you close the FTP down you get this daft sodding ad screen that appears a few seconds later. Still, it's FREE and it works.

thanks, I used coffee cup ftp today and it is fine. Like you say the only annoying thing is the popup ad at the end, but you can just close it so it isn't too much of a problem, they have to net people in somehow.

Thanks again.

Great product.. give it a trial run!
Ipswich no longer have a truly free product available. But there are still some versions of WS_FTP LE available on various sites.
