Hi,

I tried installing your code on web pages running Google Adsense advertisements and ran into a serious problem. Presumably it's caused by Google's Adsense code interrogating the web page for content when it loads at the same time as Statcounter is interrogating it. Google needs to interrogate the page to check its content so it can post relevant ads.

The issue when adding Statcounter is that it seems to interfere with the Google Adsense ad posting process and the Google ads (at least on my test pages) don't display properly. Instead of getting revenue-earning ads I get Public service ads which when clicked generate no revenue. This problem promptly goes away when the Statcounter code is removed and correct ads then appear again.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Is it possible to change the Statcounter timings to allow co-use of Statcounter on Google Adsense pages. Has anyone else got Statcounter working successfully on Google Adsense pages?

Since your program has so many useful features and is very well thought out it's very disappointing that I can't make use of it to see where my web traffic is coming from!

Sensible ideas would be appreciated (short of removing Statcounter which I really need right now!).

Hmmm - I really don't see why the StatCounter code should effect the ads appearing on your page. can you show me a page with the code installed with the ads appearing, and a page without the code installed with the public service ads appearing?

Thanks. I will modify one of my web site pages to re-incorporate the Statcounter code and (when done) will drop you a message with the page URL. Obviously, I had to remove the code when the ads stopped working as our ad revenue would have been totally lost.

Best wishes and thanks for the reassurance that Statcounter and Adsense SHOULD in fact work together. I also see you have Google ads on your Statcounter Index page (left side column)!

Well, after reloading the code it all works fine! I can only assume that either Google had some issue at the time I previously did the code tests or I made some other error. The other possibility I suppose is that I didn't click 'update the code' when I selected Frames support when I cut and pasted the code. Apologies if I have wasted your time.

I must say, your system is absolutely superb. It provides fantastic drill down information. What more can I say. Since my traffic levels are about 700 hits a day I will be updrading to the premium service this week.

Congratulations on a truly superb product.

Ok, so save the promotion of your sites until you use Statcounter on them ;)
Just give us an URL to one (1) page where you have added the counter code, so we can have look and try to see what's wrong.

Ok, but until proof about the opposite, I still think he is only spamming. Why dig up a 3 year old thread to post, and the label that new post with "how to get ranking on google" when it's not about that. And adding 5 URL's to his sites with no SC code on them? At least I don't think it can be a bot. ;-)

Obviously spamming - it's an exact replica of post #1 from this thread.:x

Yes, spamming for sure. By the way, this is my first post here. I've been using StatCounter for a while now, and just realized there was a forum. I will be checking it out more often now.

Hello there,

I just put Adsense onto my blog today and now I see that my statcounter is no longer functioning! I've reinstalled the HTML for the statcounter and even removed Adsense as an element from my page, but my tests are not showing up. I'd rather have statcounter working than adsense to begin with, so now I'm kicking myself. Would anyone be able to help?

My username for statcounter is jessicastewart and my blog is romephotoblog.blogspot.com

Thanks and thanks for providing such a great tool!

The Statcounter code itself look OK. I cannot tell if it logs or not since it's configured as invisible.

Perhaps that particular server where you have your Statcounter project is lagging.

There is no reason why Adsense should not work together with Statcounter. And in fact the Adsense block is right at the bottom of your page, so it works.
Maybe the template got out of kilter because I see what ought to be in a sidebar has dropped below all the posts. I think maybe your images are too wide and displace all elements of the template.

Hello

I think this is not a statcounter and Adsence problem, this is an explorer problem related with java codes inserted and used by both statcounter and adsence.

I had that problem on my flahs chat pages, so the ads not loading and when loading it gives the yellow error down in explorer.

Googling it for few minutes (Using the yellow error message explorer show), i found some way and i dont remember exactly what was the problem, but it was something to change in the way im writing the codes, and now its working perfect.

Still from time to time, it gives the yellow error, maybe 2% of total page views, but ads and stats code working fine.

U want to see the error more often?! use explorer 8! and dont ask me why im not a prof.

This is just my experience with this issue, i thought it may be usefull for u.

Regards

I don't have IE8 so I cannot test that. I will not install IE8 either, since there is no standalone version and it will remove IE7 from what I hear.

Yes I Agree

it still have some problems.

Many webmasters have to make some modifications for pages, so they look ok on IE8.

Microsoft is going to launch a version every few months? lol we shall keep wasting time editing pages!

thanx any way
