Invisible counter question

My site, www.rusticstone.net (among others I have) uses the statcounter code with the invisible counter.

My question is, as the counter is invisible, the link to statcounter.com is invisible, or hidden - something that search engines really frown upon - it's only just crossed my mind that I could possibly get my site(s) penanlised for this. Is this likely to happen?

Has it happened to anyone to your collective knowledge?

This shouldn't matter to search engines, as it is just a script. Search engines cannot distinguish between a script that ends up displaying something and another script that ends up displaying nothing.
