Ok, so maybe I'm having a senior moment all of a sudden.
I just created a new project and replaced the project I was using on my photo gallery pages since I don't want to combine those stats with the regular web site stats. The new project ended up on partition 1.
It's a regular counter, no special features. Public stats enabled. I copied and pasted the code as is into my template, replacing the code for the one I used before.
For the first 2-3 views I let my visits be logged and then I created a blocking cookie.
Subsequent views still got me logged it seemes, so I somehow got 16 views in there before they stopped. Maybe I'd created the blocking cookie late and I actually did make those views without a cookie. Whatever.
However the bigger puzzle is that the counter does not show the url of the visited page, nor my screen resolution and also no referring link (but that may be ok for now since let's say I got there directly).
The only time it did collect my resolution was on one page view which I did from my HD, and this is also when it logged the url (from my HD). For all others it behaved as if I had javascript disabled (which I don't).
The only difference from this project and the one I was using before is that this one is on partition 1 and the <img> refers to c2....
But then I deleted the blocking cookie and it started logging my visits again correctly, with all the information.
Back to blocking my visits now. Will just monitor other people's visits (if I should be so lucky as to have any :))
Was there perhaps a little period of time tonight when the logging didn't work correctly on partition 1 and I happened to be right in there at that time?
