Hi I've got my images all picked out for my banner that i want to use. I'm using Fireworks to do the animations. How do you make things fade in and out and do other effects. i know how to find those commands i just dont understand how it works. Thanks

I would use the GIMP. It can do animations as well. I could do it for you for free. If you would like to download the GIMP for free, it will run on both Windows and Linux. The GIMP is very powerful. It has a lot of built in tools, ie. put coffie stains on your pics, to cutting them apart and making a table in HTML to reasemble them. Increases load speed.

Example of what I can do. (animates every 7 seconds

You dont have to go to all that trouble for me. I looked at the program, its looks cool, I just dont have time to learn something new lol. I will try it out sometime. It looks pretty easy to catch on. Thanks

I have made a few banners that dont look to bad, but im still working on them.

Glad you like the program. I started using it recently and I can do quite a bit with it. It is not hard to learn.

Glad I could be of assistance.

Photoshop may be nice but it is also expensive...GIMP is FREE.

Ya the GIMP rocks. Glad there are others who feel the same way.
It is a great program and is even better since it is free.

Just wondering if you could put some delay on those banners of yours. Kinda anoying that they repeat so fast, can't read them easily.

I know I can do it in GIMP.

Dear "fanaddicts"

If you are a Windows or Mac user, and just want to run and use the application like "photoshop", "fireworks" etc with the minimum of fuss try
http://www.gimp.org/windows/
http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/
http://www.gimp.org/unix/
I'm not sure about Unix, but the Windows and Mac pages give information on where you may download fully compiled packages via http, obtain installer programs, cd packages, user manuals etc. There is also a very good GIMP user group at http://gug.sunsite.dk should you run into any problems, require tutorials etc. Hope this is of help!
