I use IE; I did not upgrade to the Windows XP Service Pack 2; I am aware that Avenue A tracks for many pop ups; I use SpyBot and it is not set too high; The current Ad here at Statcounter is for Salazar for congress (man, politics are now MORE annoying). There is a pop up window and also a full page add for Salazar; Blocking Avenue A is not effecting any other site I visit at this time. And the problem started 8/19 - I believe the second day these ads started appearing here.
The problem I am having is that Statcounter will NOT load after I block (or NOT block) Avenue A. I had a heck of a time just getting to the message boards! So, I think there is something in the Salazar/Avenue A add that is causing a problem.
Since my "computer guru" is on vacation, I couldn't change any settings even if I wanted to as suggested in the other Avenue A thread.
I have no idea if this information will help, oh wise WebMaster, but I hope so. I, for one, absolutely LOVE Statcounter and I recommend it every chance I get. I can't stand pop ups, but I do understand your need for revenue. If I weren't broke, I'd pay for this service :D
