How to insert code on Live Journal (S2) layout.

Hello,

I'm using "New System (S2)" for my Live Journal layout.
Can someone please give me the steps I need to take to insert the statcounter code?
I am really lost.

If that allows some html customization, especially a footer that you can define yourself, this is where the counter can be inserted.

If the service does not allow javascript then you can use the html only version of the counter.

If it runs in a frameset, you must use the frames version.

Without knowing what New System (S2) is and how your'e using it, it's hard to really explain the steps accurately.

What if we are inserting it (html only) into individual entries? Why aren't visitors to individual entries (unique URLs) disseminated?

FWIW, I'm putting stat counter behind a cut tag so that you have to click through to the individual entry to read it and trigger the counter.

Do you want to paste a counter into every post? That would need a new counter ID for every entry since you permalink a-new every time you post, you would have billions of counters depending on how enthusiastically you post :)

Slap it into your master.index that’s all I do.

yeah, so I can see who is reading each different post.

I was under the impression that if you put the same code on individual pages (entries are individual pages) you would get info broken down that way.
