"If you web host does not allow you to insert javascript into your webpage then you can use this option. Your stats will be extremely limited..."
What is meant by "extremely limited"? What exactly is limited and why?
Thanks.

Because some of the most useful stats are collected by the javascript portion of the code.
This includes the referrer, the page URL and the page title and the screen resolution.

Are the IP address and location are still collected?

The IP address and ISP and geolocation are still collected.
But you'll not know what page was being visited.

I know it also says "Remember One Project - One Website. A StatCounter Project records all the visitor activity on all the pages of your website. Do not create a StatCounter Project for each page of your website or the best stats (path, popular, magnify, etc.) will not work."
But if I'm already limited by using the html only code, can I essentially track addtional pages by setting them up as separate projects??

Well, for all the good it does you. You'll not know where anybody came from - you;ll know where they are only.
Unless you're using a remotely hosted blog or forum, where maybe you don't have permission to use javascript, there's no obvious reason to me why you cannot use the full statcounter code. In a remotely hosted forum or blog you';ll very likely not be able to insert different external code like that anyway on differnt pages as you;ll not have access to different pages - they are created on the fly. You'll probably only have access to an overall template.

Thanks for your help . . . on this topic and elsewhere.
I had been using the html only because I had trouble with the java version, thought it was due to my template type provider, and figured I'd have to be satisfied with the limited stats. But I found some formatting tips on another topic and figured out just how to insert them in my pages and I think it's working now.
