I have seen this several times in my account. A viewer goes to a page and it counts it twice. Does that mean they double clicked and made it count double? I get the same times a lot in my account for the same page. Just wondering

I don't know abot other times, but just so you know, I did refresh a couple of times on each page to see the counetr increment. That seems to work properly, it increments by 1 at a time.

Edit: And it's such a cool intro! wow! I almost want to get me one of those Tonneau covers, except I don't drive a truck

Ok thanks. Cool i'm glad you like my intro it took a few weeks but i like it. It is a little big (file size) but if you have high speed it shouldn't take but maybe 10 seconds at the most. Dial-up forget about it lol. I'm glad you liked. :D

i was getting echos because i had a link to my page on my page.

that is, i have separate pages of names for each letter of the alphabet and on the top i had lazyly cut and pasted the same code with links to all the letter pages. sometimes i got three echo hits at exactly the same time. once i got five. when i took the link back to the same page off of each page that whole thing went away.

still get lots of refresh hits tho.

So your saying that because I have all of my text links listed on my dialup site it is going to count double, because it reads it twice? I'm not sure i follow. I do have banners on my site that are hyperlinked to my main page. Not sure i get exactly what you are saying. sorry

Oh, that would be from spiders going through all the links on your site very fast.

I occasionally see multiple hits on the same page. I check it closely when it happens to try to figure out why it's happening.

If the multiples are coming from a browser or OS that I haven't tested extensively, I'll look more closely at the page to make sure there isn't something that would cause it to render improperly.

But mostly, it's a mystery why the multiple reloads happen. Part of it might be something I'm doing: On each load of a page (other than the home page which has a different random message), I print out a random message in the upper left corner of the page. I suspect that most visitors don't even notice it, but if somebody does notice it, they might reload the page to see the different messages.

(In case you'd like to see what I'm talking about: Queen City Cruise (http://www.ttca.org/gay_parties/queen_city_cruise.html). The random message is under "BruceWave".)
