Hi
I have recently changed ISP with a new domain name. As my old name is still registered with Google etc I have it now re-directed to my new one which has statcounter installed.
I have noticed the "came from" stats now show only my new domain name and no longer "where from". Do I need to relocate statcounter as its not picking up the links?
Thanks
Graham

Is the redirection done with frames? Then you need to install the "frames" version of the counter instead of the regular one.

You install the "frames" versions everywhere you had the regular version.
What do you mean my old domain name doesnt have any webspace?

Briefly what happened was, I could not increase my webspace with my old provider so I opened a new account with another provider which gave me a free domain name. I uploaded my website to my new webspace with the new domain name then transfered my old domain name to the new provider who set the frame forwarding to re-direct to my new site with the new name.- Hope this is making sense!.This way my website didnt go off line. Although I have unlimited webspace with my new provider my old domain name does'nt have any.It is my old name that is registered with Google etc and has many links with various websites.
What I didnt know is would I still be able to check my stats if I installed statcounter to the index page under my new domain name or would they be lost during the re-directing from my old name.
Thanks for your help.

Errr... sort of.
Are those actual domain names or just subdomains at the web hosting company's domain?
If your old domain name is an actual domain registered with a registrar (nothing to do with web space), then you can simply set it to point to the new webhosting space you have and not go through the framed redirection. The new 'free" domain name may be quite useless under the circumstances.
In any case, as long as the domain you actually use (i.e. whatever Google has) results in frames being used, you must use the frames version of the counter everywhere, on all pages which will be displayed in a frameset.
That means that if you ever access your web site using the NEW domain, then the stats won't be working well, because for that you need the regular counter version! So you must make up your mind which way you're going to operate.
Try to simplify your operation and if possible get rid of the frameset redirection altogether.
