Hi folks,
Around 12 hours ago I got a message on Statcounter opening page saying it was offline for a while but visitors were still being recorded. When I check now, my last visit recorded was 12 hours ago, yet my weblogs show visitors since then. Is there some problem getting the data topical, or has my data been lost :?:

The current problem in reporting stats is that the time shown is GMT, instead of being adjusted to the user's own time zone.
Could that apply to your log as well, given your particular time zone?

Hi Christina,
I don't the time zone affects it, I've been using Statcounter for a couple of months and it's usually within minutes of being topical. The visitors logged 12 hrs ago where being displayed when I looked last night, there's just no additional visitors since then. I've seen the counter get a delay sometimes during the daytime, upto 3 or 4 hours, but it's always caught up again in the evening, overnight and early morning.
Just read your post again. I'm only one hour off GMT anyway, On summer time at present. My other weblogs both run to GMT.

Update:
Stats have started appearing, running about 1 1/2 hours behind real time, but with a gap between 20:15 on 10th and 07:22 on the 11th. Weblogs show visitors during this period, so it looks as though some data has been lost, but at least it's working again.

My stats still appear in GMT time zone although I can do the conversion to read them in my own time - as of 7am my time this morning (it is now close to noon). That's not the problem though. My stats show no new visitors in the last 5 hours. It seemed to be on time earlier this morning but now it totally stopped recording. The total visit count (summary) seems to be updating but the page reloads is not recording anything.

You may find them in the "right" time spot as of when they statred being recorded again at the proper time zone (i.e. prior to the earlier visits logged at GMT).

I checked that already and I just double checked again. There hasn't been a single new entry in my page reload stats in 6 hours now. I know I've had visitors, I see hits in my other stats.
Missy
Oh, well, you may have the added problem of a lag in reporting on whatever server your stats are on.

I seem to be having the same issue and have verified it's not the time zone...counter has been at the same number since yesterday afternoon --- which I know isn't right.

Sweet, now I'm getting this again:
A link to the database server '' could not be established.
What's the deal?
