I've been getting close to 100 pageloads a day and today I had 5! That's seems strange to me. Anyone else having a lag? Puleeeeze tell me you are.

I often see a loss of sync between the two total columns. The total pages and this months pages. I reset my stats every month so the 2 columns should always be the same but they often get out of sync and it takes a few hours to catch up.
Something to do with data syncing between servers.
It is not recommended to reset your stats.
All data on all the servers is in sync at the moment, and has been for quite some time.

Why is it not recommended to reset stats?
Doing so gives me a clearer picture of my visitor activity within any given month and allows me to see trends from month to month. Something I believe will become available with Advanced Stats when they arrive.
You're resetting the stats that lets you see the total number of visitors you had each day for the lifetime of your website. Not a good idea to reset that. That's an awesome stat if you let it build up.
And the rest of the stats are based on the most recent 100 pageloads (if you don't upgrade) so there is really no point resetting that. It resets itself.
Yes the advanced statcounter project will have an interface like the current "summary stats" - but will work for the detailed analysis as well!

Thanks for the explanation Webmaster.
I have upgraded to the 10,000 log option which allows me to store a full month's visitor activity (Currently about 4500 pageloads, and growing).
I store a number of stats including the 'Came From' which I process to extract the keywords and engines which gives me a more comprehensive picture as I can also process the engines you do not currently support.
If I did not rest my stats I would end up with a period overlap and distorted figures.
