Hi,

I have just launched a new site design for Themotec.com that works well with all screen sizes. The colors might be a bit dull, but I have worked on making a dynamic homepage.

If you could, please tell me what you think of the site www.themotec.com.
The homepage uses 3 javascript scripts, but if it is disabled, only the dynamics won't work. If you have javascript enabled, please tell me what you think of the main link effect. Thanks!

Thanks! I will write a little note about the javascript soon

I saw your site just now, and it looks great! About your future forum, I would volunteer to help out or to be a moderator.

I also have a forum; see the homepage.

Mo, the effect is very neat. For the benefit of those who do not have javascript enabled, you can use title="...." inside the <a href="..." ...> tag in addition to the event handler that provides the animation. This has the same effect as the alt in an <img ...> tag, I believe, plus it adds a bit more text content for search engines to chew on.

All I will say is that you have the right attitude. Don't give up and always keep experimenting new ways of showing your information.

Thanks. I always want to improve my site, and the best way is to experiment until I find something nice.

The reason I switched designs was that the old design did not look good in 800x600. Before, there was horizontal&vertical scrolling; now there is none on the nomepage. :D

I will work on the code for the hover effect now.

I have also experemented with that, and auto stretch. It's just that I don't have enough links and text on the pages to have autostretching help.

That's also one of the reasons why I dont use autostretch. Anyway, I think you are right about the about Motec page. I will left-align it. I might also use thumbnails for the games section, but that will take some time.

About the other changes, I cannot implement them immediately. I chose not to use templates, so it would take some time. My photo site doest use templates, though.

What browser do you have? The suggestions about the navigation text might only apply to firefox. The text appears a pixel higher in IE.

I only use CSS for the table and site border currently.

I have updated the About Motec page now.
