My experiment:

Background:
Victor loves to build websites, loves to help others to fix their websites. He likes to rank websites as high as he can in search engines by creating quality content.

But he hates to give maintenance over and over to his websites with several webpages (he knows that is a little lazy). He hates to annoy his visitors with ads and banners. Victor prefers to provide useful info to his visitors because he believes that one of the main reasons why people use the internet is to find information. In order to satisfy each of these needs, he is experimenting new ways to provide this info: http://www.pinata.tuguiaonline.com/

With this way of using only one page to provide the info, I believe that once the page has loaded to the visitors browser, he does not need to be loading more and more pages: this will save time and efforts, specially when the visitor uses dial up.

I believe the info is organized in a way that will not annoy the visitor with the navigation.

I think that the page is providing quality info quickly and in an effective way.

The page doesn't sell nothing, so I don't see why needs to have more pages (for example, catalogs, etc)

When I need to modify something, only one single file needs to be modified and that's it!

When my visitor wants to print the info, only needs to press "ctrl p" or "print" and presto!

This site is only intended to provide info about a specific topic.

It's optimized with the lowest possible pictures for loading with dial up.

It's optimized with the lowest ads or non relevant banners.

Finally, this is only an experiment, I need to see what my visitors and search engines think about it (once ago I did something similar and google liked it, but I need to see it again). Of course this format is not suitable for everybody, I guess it depends in the info you want to provide. I just wanted to share it with you for free and let you know what time tells me. Any comment will be appreciated.

-Proteus

PS. I hate to tell this, but the page is better viewed with any browser other than explorer. This is only to appreciate a couple effects of css like borders, etc...

Looks good in my IE

Very interesting concept. A kind of retro single page code.

My comments are;
You could still have a menu system using "a href" but all on one page. It may help top jump around the page better.

Also if you wanted more pics you could use pdfs for printing. A free programme pdf995 is kicking about.

my browser shows blue seperators and right side. The seperators are fine but what about making the page 100% wide.

You could use java code to print Print Page (javascript:printWindow())

Like the clean look.
