Otherwise the stats are excellent!!

If it helps at all, all of our domains forward email to our own mail server and we don't block spam at the server. :?
Anyway guys, hats off to you all for a fantastic service. :D

I have my own mail server, which does not filter out spam. My last report arrived on the 7th December.

The weekly scheduled email reports have never worked for me, but the "Send The Email Report Now!" works just fine. :?

I tried the Send Email Report Now feature early this morning, and I haven't received anything until now.

My automated emails also stopped after December 7th. Maybe there is something they can look at during that week to determine the problem.

The last email report I received was also the 7th Dec. I am only receiving reports by login in and sending one on demand. I have tried changing me email settings but this made no difference I am still not receiving them

My reports are also not working. I can only get them with the "Send The Email Report Now". I have 5 projects going and currently I have to log in and send the reports manually. Could you please have a look at it. I am paying 19$ a month and this is an important feature. Thanx.

Emails aren't working here too. Neither of the options, 'send weekly' or 'send now' appear to have any result. Hope you can fix it ASAP as this was a big selling point to our client and we would be upgrading if it is fixed.
We monitor all our email, whether spam or not and have not had anything from statcounter regarding our reports.

An interesting discovery, it may be meaningful.
The email address I have for my email reports is on my own website.
I use SpamAssassin to control Spam, however I don't' automatically discard email, it gets tagged as Spam and I deal with it separately.
The mail server however uses a mild setting for SpamAssassin, to eliminate some very obvious Spam from getting to the inbox in the first place. This apparently uses blacklists provided by Spamcop and possibly other methods. The email is not bounced, it is simply discarded.
I have not been getting either my scheduled or the specially requested email reports since December. yesterday I also requested one to be sent immediately and it never came.
Today I changed my email address associated with the Statcounter account, to one unregulated by any special anti-spam software or service. I requested an immediate report and it came within the 5 minutes promised.
I changed my email again back to my web site's email and requested another immediate report for another project - it hasn't come!
Now I definitely get email to my web site, but usually only well formed e-mail.
I have to therefore assume that there's something concerning the form or contents of the report emails that makes them be discarded by some mail servers as spam.
I didn't find the Statcounter email server's IP address in the current Spamcop blacklist, thus it may not be that that blocks it. It may simply be the way it is constructed, the sender's email or the reply-to email fields may not be correct for some methods of testing.

Well, automatic reports still don't work. The manual one's do work however... but I just discovered a strange thing. The monthly report I sent manually arrives normal in my mailbox. Now I can forward the mail. The new message countains now 5 grafic files as attachement (summary.png; country.png; browser.png; resolution.png; os.png) The really strange thing is now that these graphics are from another project, not the one I got the monthly report. May be somebody else could try this as well. But I guess this is another bug. Hope this can be fixed. Thanx. Pat
The manual reports have never worked for me since these have been down. I run my own server and as far as I can tell from all the logs, no emails have even hit my server since the beginning of december. I even added the domain to the global whitelist on my server too.
At first I could get manual reports from some of my projects but not others, and now I don't get anything from any of them.

Again, if it's of any help, the email address used on all out Statcounter reports goes to an address which has no spam filter on it.

Well I still haven't received my automated weekly email yet (have my own email server, no spam traps etc. Last report recieved 4th Dec) I just tried the immediate report and it has arrived.
Do you have any feedback from users that weren't getting the automated email that they are now, or do you just THINK it should work?

email doesn't work for me either - I signed up for the weekly email, and haven't given that enough time yet, but for the "immediate" one that says it will arrive in 5 minutes, it's been over 12 hours.... so when the webmaster says it works for "most people" and none of us here gets reports... I wonder how they know that "most people" are getting the mails?

I got one out of the blue last week. Not again this week. Something's still choking it.

I have gone in several times and configured a user to get email... the fact that you're not seeing it in my account might be the source of the problem... I'll go do it again.

I guess another "issue" would be that if for some reason, your system doens't think there's a user who's supposed to get an email, why would it still say "you'll be getting an email in 5 minutes"... maybe it should instead say "I don't have anyone to send it to"...

Your weekly report was logged and sent out last monday. it will be sent out again next monday.
The only report I have recieved since 7th December (W/E 5th Dec) is the one I sent myself on the 4th March. I repeat - I have my own email server with NO spam traps.
Given that most users reporting this problem seem to be reporting that week (7th Dec) as the last report they recieved - has that clue been investigated? Maybe something strange has happened with the email addresses for automated emails?

Thanks !!

Yay! Finally got one! First since December!
I have to admit the report itself isn't actually that important to me - but it did rather shake my confident is statcounter that there were so many problems with this, and a frequent respose that it was a problem at the user end, which I knew it wasn't. (Sounds like it was server overload?)
Glad you've finally got it fixed - hopefully things will settle down from here in? I'm looking forward to being able to become a paying member once the new services/schemes are in place.

Got my first email report of any kind ever this morning.
I've been signed up & using the service since end of December. I have repeatedly hit ''send report now'' but none was ever received. I've been scheduled for a weekly report since end of December.
Finally, first report ever.
Now I can't log in to check my stats.
!!!!
YES ... I am using my correct username & password ... I even checked the original email from StatCounter to confirm I am entering all information exactly and correctly.
sigh.
Sent request to email me a new password. No such password help has been received.
I submitted a help request by the web page interface ... an email was received immediately noting that the request had been submitted.
Over-all commentary: after waiting three months to get my email ''report,'' I'd have to say I'm pretty disappointed. Four numbers per day with no significant data .... extremely poorly formatted.
.SIGH.
Had you posted an example of your email format somewhere, I would never have wasted my time on it. A complete waste of time.
Now I can't even login to my account to stop these reports.
I'm beginning to fear you now ....

FWIW --
I have StatCounter set up under one username who controls the project. I set up another user on the account to view-only.
The account-holder cannot log in anymore (probably haven't logged in with that username in over a month).
A single automated weekly report was sent to the account-holder email address. Was received in a severely mangled format with numbers and data strung out for about 100 lines of text.
The user account can be logged into .. and usually is every few days to view & record various data.
5 identical copies of the 07-13 March report were received in that email account this morning. These are in HTML-format &, while quite sparse of data, at least I get the idea that the data is supposed to be arranged in an HTML-formatted table.
So, information if anyone cares.
I am still not receiving any email for password help for the account-holder user ... the one who has the authority to actually set up & manipulate the account cannot log in using the correct username & password.
I'd really like to not wait 90 days again until this problem clears itself up.

I, too, finally received my first emailed reports today. Woohoo!!
Of course, next time, I hope I only receive one copy instead of seven. ;-) But, I'm wondering if those multiple copies could be one of the reasons why 28,000 emails were taking five days to mail. If everyone is getting that many extras, it'll obviously slow things down.
Either that, or those seven might represent the number of times I tried to make the mailed reports work (only once - just last week - was I even able to make the on-demand email reports work).
One of the previous comments got me thinking... In your copious spare time (yeah, yeah, I know), if you give the option for comma delimited data while setting up the emailed report, the reports themselves could be much smaller for those who choose the comma delimited format. If enough people choose the ascii format instead of HTML, you emails would likely get a lot smaller and need fewer email servers. Benefits to those that choose the comma delimited version would be easy import into the software of their own choosing for analysis purposes without having to log into statcounter.com.
In any case, keep up the good work. It's a great product you've got here.

Yep, I received multiples for some of my projects ranging from 2 to 8 each. Not counting copies sent to a separate email address. Got multiples in those too.
I will go and check properly what I'm having sent and where.

'Kay folks --
I'm back in. Don't know what the issues were earlier.
I can say that there was some bizarre behavior; not sure on which end, though it seems probably both in this case..
I have two email addresses set up for the two users on my account, one for the admin and one for a stats viewer. Both of those accounts received 5 copies of this morning's email report ... one seems to have taken several hours longer than the other. That same (yahoo) account also finally rec'd the emails for password help.
Turns out that two other email accounts are also receiving communications.
One I understand; I probably used that one to set up StatCounter and later switched it to the yahoo account. The original password info was in that account, confusing me as to which account I should have been looking for help in.
So, my bad on that; I've migrated the info to the account that does receive StatCounter communcations & shouldn't make that mistake again ...
BUT, adding to the confusion for me this morning is the fact that a single StatCounter email report was sent to an email address that StatCounter should have never heard of. The website I use StatCounter for rec'd an email to my personal, hidden account this morning, which really threw me for a loop. For that one report , my personal account is listed as a CC:, but there is no To: address, so I seem to have been carboned on an email that was sent to someone hidden, and none of the other ten reports list my personal account as a CC: .... and (not that I want them) ... what happened to the other four copies of report ?!
I probably would have forgotten about the whole thing in ten minutes this morning except I couldn't understand why one account rec'd five copies in HTML and the other account rec'd a single copy in mangled text ...
Looking through my StatCounter account now, I see all the settings where they should be; I haven't needed to change anything.
Really weird stuff though. Rec'd an email to an account that should have been changed over in January or earlier, rec'd an email to an account that I have given out to maybe five personal friends (did my domain just receive a blanket emailing?), and the two accounts set up to communicate through rec'd five copies each of the automated report, but have never rec'd the manual report.
Just informational at this point.

Well, you may have email forwarders for your own email addresses, as I do.
Anything that goes to my website email also goes to a yahoo account, forwarded from the mail setup on my web site. But I can tell it was not sent direclty to the yahoo account, as the addresee is the regular email address.
Yes, I received varying number of multiple copies to the emails I set up on Statcounter, as main email and as extra users and as cc. The list of the email addreses where they went is correct as per request, the number of copies is not.
