I've been planning on adding classified ads to my website and now i'm about ready to do it. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about software, set-up, etc. also i am debating on how to do it. i was playing with the notion of buying another domain name and just making another folder on my server. that way i can advertise it by it's domain name plus have a link from my main website www.SportsInvestingGuide.com.
The classified ads would be strictly sports related; tickets, equipment, golf packages, sports gambling, etc.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you in advance!

hi - I'm using a really good system thats relatively easy to re-style and include in a page you can have a look here ...http://www.2412electrics.com/classifieds/ You can install categoeies, sub-categories and sub categories on them etc etc etc..
person has to register to leave an add or I think it can be set for only you to post adds. Each add has a timeout feature in that 25 days after being inputted it sends a reminder e-mail to see if you wish the add tp continue running. If you leave it go - it's deleted at 30 days. If you continue it, it can run for upto 6 mnths(you can re-enable the add 5 times).
Kinda easy to use and I'll be makingf mine fully active by mid next mnth.
You can get the system here http://classifieds.phpoutsourcing.com/
I know a bit about it but have more to do yet to fully get to grips with it. You can even run a shoping cart from it but this needs to be switched on but I found problems with it so leave it off for now.
hope it helps - nice simple easy to use system.....

thanks, that helps. are your classifieds free or are you charging a ad fee? i was going to first start free to see how it works and gain credibility and then if i'm getting enough ad i will start to charge a small fee.
