First I have to say that as a paying member I find the support slow and extremely lacking, I sure hope this changes soon.

Question;
For every unique IP under Vistor Paths should I see that IP under recent activity? I see activity today both under summary and vistor paths when i go to Recent vistor activity I am only seeing stuff from yesterday.

Thanks,
Scott

Did you open a support ticket? Did it get solved? I only saw a problem from you in the forum on December 10th and by December 11th it was addressed.

Anyway, if you're referring to forum support "lacking" - well, so be it. It's a community effort. It appears that the vast majority of problems are entirely due to user mistakes and misunderstanding of instructions, not any shortcoming of the software itself.

Now for your question: recent visitor activity is another way to see recent pageloads. Visitor paths are pageloads in chronologically increasing order, grouped by ip address. Popular pages are grouped by page url, in decreasing order of the number hits recroded to each page. For any such page, you get the list of ip addresses that have visited the page, in increasing order of the Ip address. For each Ip addresss you know how many times they visited that page; when drilling down on that IP, you get the visitro path for that IP address.

Yes I have opened up several support tickets. We can go into that a different time perhaps but that is not my intention with this post. I was in no means commenting on the support from the forum and understand that it is a "community effort" I was commenting on support issues that I have had directly with Statcounter for which I have been a paying member since I stareted using the service. It is because of the lack of support from the people I am paying that I am turning to the "community" in hopes of getting some issues resolved.

I appreciate you trying to answer my question but what I'm trying to find out is if I see an IP under "Visitor Paths" from today should I also see that IP if i click on "Recent Visitor Activity"? I'm not talking about drilling down from "visitor paths".

I believe so, yes. You may have to find it in the proper chronological spot, since recent visitor activity is in reverse chronological order.

Why would Recent Vistor Activity not show the most recent activity in the order it has occurred? if someone visits my site today and 3 months ago are you saying I whould have to go back 3 months to see his recent activity?

Because it's the same exact things as Recent Pageload activity, but with nicer fortmatting for each entry displayed. It goes from the most recent back to the oldest.

But if you have a visitor there with more than one entry listed, drill down and you will get to see that visitor's past pageviews - as long as that detail is still there in your log.
