'Invalid Security' button shows up after I inserted code onto page. Just added a project and want an invisible counter. But this button shows up and has a built-in link to statcounter.com. It's not invisible if it has this button showing up. I even changed the security code and got a new HTML Code and installed it. What gives?
Does the fact that the page is a sub-domain (subdomain.domain.com/index.html) have anything to do with it?
I love the statcounter.com counters I already have installed in my other projects, but what's up with this one? [/b]

Always check the source code to make sure it's correct. It's not correct rigth now.You messed up the code somehow. Your code has & wherever it's supposed to have just & . It could be your browser or your editor or firewall or whatever.

:D
Yeah, I read another thread that had that & problem, but hadn't equated it to my prob. Then, I started noticing that problem with a link I was trying to put in. It's amazin' what you notice when you're looking for it. My editor is Netscape Composer / Mozilla. Apparently, it puts that in automatically. I think there are 2 ways to overcome that. One is to go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > COMPOSER. Where it asks "When Saving or Publishing Pages," click radio button that says "reformat HTML" instead of "retain HTML." Maybe then it won't automatically edit your code. Maybe. 2nd thing to try is to put code in by clicking INSERT > HTML. Maybe that will glue the code in and won't be changed automatically (at least that method works in the FrontPage version I also have). Thanks again.

I just looked at the code ya'll gave me (at least the way it was saved in my Notepad) and the & thing was in it. So maybe it wasn't my Netscape Compose editor that did it. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Then it's you browser. Or the combination of browser and firewall.
