We get a lot of people who "miss" the "Add New Project" link and didn't realise it was there. We are just testing it as a simple link instead of a box like it was before. It frees up more space on the screen - do you like it/dislike it?

I rather preferred the old buttons. I don't see how anybody could have missed them actually, but miss them they did for sure. Probably because many don't make the distinction between creating an account and creating the first project when they first start, since the project is created for them sort of automatically.
Maybe you can make the links stand out more - bold, large font, maybe a different color.

I liked the visual appeal of the old buttons too :)
One of the common complaints was that "it wasn't a link so i didn't realise i could click it" ... I want to see if this helps solve that situation.
Also it does give you more screen space - the old buttons did take up quite a bit of room and were very imposing (which I thought would mean they were easy to see and understand).

I like the new links vs old buttons. Same deal - clean look. I miss the total hits appearing nearer to the left of the set of columns - with my small screen, I now need to scroll right and left - it used to all fit.

Hi Everyone,
I prefer the simpler "Add new project" link.
It is easier on pageload and less prominent.

Well part of the redesign was due to some people actually not seeing those links - as buttons, so undoubtedly quite prominent ;)
Go figure
