Hello,
The visitors of my site complain pop ups open when the acceed. That happens with the pages containing statcounter script.
I though Statcounter was advertising free. That seems not to be the case.
how can I manage it that no more pop-ups open ?
best regards

I got the pop-ups, but I can tell you those are NOT the result of Statcounter!
I don't know what causes them, but someone else here will give you a better explanation.

did you got them only on the home page , or also on other pages ?
I can't see any, I block them.

I get them on the home page, the first time the page loads.
You have something other than the Statcounter code that is causing this. You could try removing the code temporarily after you unblock the pop-ups.
You may have to delete your cookies every time you try to get the pop-ups because it "remembers" you and won't pop-up again for you.
Someone else here will offer more advice.

I'm going to say it is the Motigo Webstats. The pop-up must to be to something very less than appropriate because my ISP blocked the load of the page.
Pull the motigo webstats out and see if you still get the pop-ups.

It would actually be your browser settings that would be blocking the potential popup though.
This would seem odd though, that this software would do that.

Motigo does, not Statcounter.
