I have added more pages after the index page with the same code but still only have the index page stats, when i go to popular pages it only displays the 1st page I added, ie the index page.

Any clues?

If you have placed the code on all the pages, it must be corrupted somehow.

Copy & pasting with some browsers will result in extra characters being added!

Compare the code on your added pages with the homepage.

If you don't get it working, post your URL so we can take a look.

We'dd need to see the site where that is being used. A couple of possibilities come to mind.

I used the same copy to paste into all the pages, it is a web site built on iWeb, I followed the help topic on iWeb in this forum but the link is dead.

This is my web site, statcounter is working for this page but not for the pages listed across the top of each web page!;

You have no navigation without javascript it seems.

The homepage you have at http://web.mac.com/ritchieguitars/ redirects by meta refresh to http://web.mac.com/ritchieguitars/iWeb/Michael%20Ritchie%20Guitar%20Maker/Home.html

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title></title><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= iWeb/Michael%20Ritchie%20Guitar%20Maker/Home.html" /></head><body></body></html>

Thus you will get no external referrers if they link to http://web.mac.com/ritchieguitars .

There is no Statcounter code on this page, nor on any other pages:
http://web.mac.com/ritchieguitars/iWeb/Michael%20Ritchie%20Guitar%20Maker/Home.html

The counter you are using is the one provided by http://web.mac.com/i/chp/HitCounter.js

The way you've built the site no search engine robots will ever find it, sorry to say.

You should move the homepage right at http://web.mac.com/ritchieguitars/ as index,.html or home.html (whatever is the default on that system as a homepage).

No idea why the link for instruction how to do things in iweb is broken. I know that site is structured very strangely and you cannot bookmark the actual page, you have to start from the entry and navigate until you find the information on how to add Statcounter code - or any other code for that matter.

The actual and still good link to the instruction fo iweb is this:

http://web.mac.com/varkgirl/iWeb/Varkgirl/Selective%20Statcounter.html

web.mac.com/varkgirl/iWeb/Varkgirl/Selective%20Statcounter.html

I corrected the original post wehre the link was given. It's funny environment in iweb to say the least. Lousy url's for sure.

hello. I'm having a similar problem which I think someone can help me with. I have the code on all my pages properly and see how many hits I get each day but it doesnt show me which url they are visiting the most. or referring url. i have the urls lsited in my project settings here:
Website URL
This is very beneficial for the reporting. By specifying your different URLs on a new line like:
http://mydomain.com
http://www.mydomain.com
it allows us to customise the reports better for you.

anyone know why i cant see what pages they're at in my overview?

You have used the html-only version of the Statcounter code.

You need the full version which includes javascript in order to track any url's.

OK. So I have to pay for that right?

No, you just have to generate the code again (using Install Counter) and DO NOT select html-only as an option.

Then you use the new code you generated on all your pages.
