Website Optimization & Submission Sites recommended by StatCounter

On the left side of the StatCounter interface there are all these recommended Premium sites. I was interested if anyone have ever tried any of these and what they thought. I was looking at the one "20 submissions free". My first instinct when I see these ads containing or ending with the word "Free" is to hold my pocket tight and run the other way.

I am curious if anyone have tried it. they want an e-mail address. Does it spam you like a sexually transmitted disease? or does it drive traffic to your website like a super viral epidemic?

and how much does it cost to have this free?

I cannot speak to whether or not those ads are "quality" ads, or whether your email address is safe with them.

I would say use common "net sense" when dealing with any website you encounter.

I would add, that in general, I have not found any of these promises of free traffic to be worth anything.
