View Full Version : Email Report examples?

The StatCounter Features page says that if you upgrade to paid account the email reports will provide extra information. It only mentions that the daily email reports include summarised Keyword and Came From stats. I would be interested to know what the weekly email reports for paid subscribers contain, preferably by looking at an example report. I used the forum search function and did a quick Google search, but couldn't find a detailed breakdown. Is there an example report somewhere that I missed?

Hi
Here is a screenshot of one of mine.

Thanks Richard.
Is that a screenshot of a weekly report for an 'upgraded' account? It looks exactly the same as the one I receive from my free account. The StatCounter Features page gave me the impression that more details were included if a free account user pays for an upgrade.

Hi
That is an upgraded account.
I've never checked how to do it, but I believe after you download the CSV file, you can rework the data to give you details. I do know that the geo data is used on the Statcounter server to give you the details live, but that would need to be done on your local machine. Some other details may not show. You could download yours and take a peek. I've never played with the CSV in a spreadsheet.

Can't really say as I don't have an upgraded account myself.
What I seem to recall is that an upgraded acount allows other frequencies of emailed reports (maybe daily?).
Other than that the upgraded account provides a https version, a much larger log and monthly hit limit allowance and ability to get rid of some of the advertising on the admin pages.

Hi!
Upgraded accounts allow you to receive daily email reports - these contain more information than the weekly or monthly reports e.g. keyword data
I'll have a look for an example and post it here later.

Hi Jen,
That would be helpful. Just a text list of headings and a count of the number of entries shown under each heading would be enough detail. Thanks.

Can't fit one report into a single screenshot so here it is in two parts!
Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the screenshots Jen! Better than a text description.

So there is no way to recieve more detailed email reports without upgrading?

It looks like the only detailed reports are the daily reports which are available with an upgrade. However, if you have Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program installed on your PC you can use the "Download Logs" link on the stats pages and download either the XLS or CSV file. Then you can load it into the spreadsheet and analyze the last 500 pageviews.
