This is great :-D
So far I see outgoing clicks to my advertisers, affiliate links, and, never thought about it before, email links, the mailto: thingy!
Now when someone visits with evil intentions  I've got it all in my stats 8-)

just spent a half hour going over every bit of information and can't find exit links anywhere - and they would be extremely useful for my ad sales. I can see exit pages, of course, but that just shows the last page. I tried myself and the stat shows the page I went to but stops short of showing that I clicked on my advertiser's link. Help! How do I get this? I'm upgraded so that isn't the problem.

Hello Genevalunch
Only Statcounter's beta version has Exit Links. It's available for testing now. After you are logged into your Statcounter account, look for the;
"Calling all Volunteers - Help Beta Test SC4!! read more"
Be sure to read the instructions carefully.
Exit Links will then be displayed on the left side menu below Search Engine Wars.

Hi Chris
I don't got no pop-ups on my site!
I've had SC4 on my main site since Nov 29.
The banners are just randomly displayed on the pages. Some have links to advertisers. I am an affiliate for CARFAX, a vehicle history database. And I have randomly displayed text links to some businesses. Some of the sellers on my site post email addresses. Exit Links are recorded for them all.
It would be nice to have a "Sort" for them, they are becoming a rather lond list!

I didn't say you have pop-ups LOL
But link sich as what you'd have with Google Adsense ads, those are javascript , meaning they are opened using javascript functions like window.open (whihc is a pop-up window) or window.location.href (which is javascript redirection) or some such.
They are not plain html links like <a href="...">click here</a> or <a href="..."><img src="some_button.jpg"></a>.

I've no javescript links, such as Ad Sense etc.
I do have SC4 on another of my sites that uses Google's Ad Sense.
Not picking those clicks up.

Richard, are we talking in circles? lol
You cannot expect to find out which Google adsense ads anybody clicked on because they are javascript - we are in agreement, aren't we?

Richard, are we talking in circles? lol
Well, ya we are a bit. I wasn't sure, but I didn't think it would pickup javascript, but for the sake of our viewers, I just emphasized that it didn't. ;-)

Hey,
unfortunately Google Adsense puts the advertisements into an iFrame (or inner frame). Basically it means, these advertisements physically are on a different page (in a different frame). This is the reason why we can't track clicks on Google Ads - Clickstat works only on the page where you've placed the code - by standard security reasons.

You have made a good point here
Didnt thought statcounter could be used to track such spammers also.
Thanks for the info
