RESOLVED: No Match to Old Counter

I am running the SC4 as a hidden counter along side the old version with a graphic counter at WDC Financial Services (http://wdcfinancialservices,com). The counts reported on a day to day basis do not match. The SC4 counts run about 1/3 less than the old counter. I wonder what's causing this.

Yes the counters do not match. SC3 is down about 30% compared to SC4 for me.

I don't know why this is, I'm sure it's under investigation!

the different values of the counters are normal - during the weekend we had to refine the new system so that's why there is a huge difference. This is why beta testing is important to find all the bugs so when SC4 will grow into the final product stage all counters will match well after all. Thank you for notifying us about this issue and please ignore the mismatching counters this time.

I have encountered the same problem. SC4 registers much less than SC3. In fact, this morning there were 7 visits recorded by SC3 and zero ("0") by SC4. And the download tracking in SC4 simply ceased to work.

I don't think it is only weekend issue. Yesterday SC3 and SC4 almost matched, only couple clicks difference, but today SC4 recorded 3 times less visits.

Just another data point:
My SC3 and SC4 counts were more or less in sync until this morning. At some point after around 13:30 GMT, it appears that SC4 simply stopped registering hits.

Today's discrepancy is the biggest. In the morning SC3=55, SC4=17. Is SC4 down today?

Yes their are still discrepancies between the two counters.

The last it I had was about 3 hours ago.

SC4 is not counting even counting my hits right now.

The beta has not recorded anything today, and was recording smaller numbers for the past few weeks.

My 2 Projects with SC4 have been showing activity for the last 30 minutes or so.

there was a difference of about 50 page loads between the beta & normal code, two days ago the difference started increasing & last 24 hours I got these stats (page loads)

Normal: 2,203

Beta: 1,054

The codes are as instructions say: Normal code above the beta ..

Yes, I am experiencing the same thing.

They are working on optimizing all the page loads, so the counters will read the same when they are done.

I actually have just the opposite problem most of you seem to have. My SC4 counter is running about twice as high as the SC3 counter. It is also registering page hits without showing visitors (that was new yesterday ... maybe I should start a new thread?).

My problem is now the reverse like you. SC4 is registering nearly double SC3 for 2 days already.

a lot of things changed since we started StatCounter v4 beta - especially last week / yesterday. We've finished the major modifications so from now the counters will match well! thank you for reporting this issue.
