Hi,
I log into my projects, w/remember me checked.
I enter the URL, http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/add.php?sc4=1
and still it justs logs me back out.
Any suggestions, or is there a possibility of getting th4e set up for sc4 tied into our regular page?
I really want to begin with sc4, but do not know how to proceed.
Thank you,
Cyber

I suspect your browser is not accepting cookies. I click the URL in your post, and I go right to the SC4 New Project page.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried it on both Firefox and IE. On two different machines, etc. I can't get it to "remember me", thus I can't use the beta.
Any help?
It is NOT a cookie setting.

You don't need the "remember me" to access the beta SC4
Just log into your regular Statcounter account. Look at the top of the page; "Calling all Volunteers - Help Beta Test SC4!! read more"
This will take you to the blog, scroll down a bit;
To get started:
* Login to StatCounter with the “remember me” option
* Point your browser at this URL
http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/add.php?sc4=1
* If successful the form should now read “BETA TEST SC4 PROJECT SETTINGS” then proceed as normal to install this new code below your current code.
If you are getting logged out when you click the link to the blog, you may have something stopping/blocking the link. Spybot or Kaspersky maybe.
Try clicking the above link in this post, while you are logged into your Statcounter account. It works for me.
Look in the browser URL for; my.statcounter.com/project/standard/add.php?sc4=1
If you see the I've bolded in red, you are in.

This isn't the case for me, as stated above.

Hi FrdPrefect
First off, do you see the Invitation to Help beta test SC4?
If you do and you click the link, what happens?

Yes,
I get that invite. I try to log in using the link provided, but do not get the beta version of anything.

In the blog it says to log into yoru Statcounter account with the "remember me" option. This will only work if yuo are not blockign any kinds of cookies from any of Statcounter's subdomains. It won't work if you are only allowing session cookies for instance, or if you kill your cookies every time as you navigate.
Once logged in, then you use this url:
http://my.statcounter.com/project/standard/add.php?sc4=1
Which will take you to a page where you can create a new project which uses SC4.
Make sure you have no cookie blocker - Spybot or others - that prevents you from using this.

If you have your Projects page open in on tab in the browser you are using right now, click the link below;
To get started:
* Login to StatCounter with the “remember me” option
* Point your browser at this URL
http://my.statcounter.com/project/st.../add.php?sc4=1
* If successful the form should now read “BETA TEST SC4 PROJECT SETTINGS” then proceed as normal to install this new code below your current code.
This should open a new tab to a new Project.
In the address of your browser, it should say SC4 somewhere. If this happens, you are creating a SC4 Project.
