Hello,

All of a sudden I can't log into StatCounter.com.
I'm using a Mac with Firefox. I've cleaned my cache and cookies, refreshed the browser and even reset my password. Nothing seems to be helping. What do I need to do?

Thanks,
Vanilla

Hi Vanilla,

What do you mean you can't log in? Are you getting an error? Is your password incorrect? Is the page blank? What are you actually seeing when you try to log in?

We need details!

I'm getting a message telling me my username/password is incorrect when I try to log into my account from the main page at StatCounter.com even though I've had the account and the same credentials for a very long time. I finally reset my password, but it's still not letting me in.

95% of the time problems like this are due to CAPS LOCK! Make sure you're using correct details bearing in mind cAsE seNsiTivITy.

If still not working, post your username here or submit it in a support ticket and we'll check things out.

My caps lock is not on so I sent in a support ticket. Thank you very much.

The support team emailed me with another password reset so I reset it yet again and I notice that when I type in my username it automatically changes the first letter which is uppercase to lowercase and no matter how many times I retype it, it keeps reverting back to lowercase.

I'm having the same problem of not being able to log in. It's definitely not a caps lock issue.

The website to which my statcounter account is attached is csulbpts.freeforums.org and I access the statcounter data through the forum's admin control panel. Normally logging in to the ACP automatically logs me in to the stat counter component, but just now when I attempted to log in, I receive a yellow error message stating "Login Error the login time has expired" and prompts me to enter a username and password. Everything I've tried there gives me an error message regarding incorrect login info.

Suggestions?

That's not a StatCounter issue! It's an issue with your browser - it's using some kind of autocorrect or autocomplete function.

Try deleting "saved" entries in the username field. OR turn off the autocorrect. OR try typing your username in a text document and then copy and paste it into the username field. OR type in your username and use the arrow keys to go back and delete and replace only the first letter.
