Default New Lounge Forum, blocking someone!

Received this email from a dear friend, he is currently unable to post or reply to posts for some reason.

Below is portion of his email:

Because of some of the changes I made in my profile my account needs to be activated. I've only just received an activation code ... and it doesn't work!!!!

He would not pm moderator, as he knows not to. lol scaredly cat.

So I am posting here for him!

Let me know if you need his logon name to fix it!

Oh, oops!

Is it about a Statcounter user account or a forum account?

For the forum account he can sign up with a new name for now.

If the activation didn't work, then Guy has to be infrmed to tweak theat function somehow.

Yes he is a well known statcounter user and forum user.

He has now I think requested two activation codes. The first didn't work. I have not heard current status. I believe he is having trouble posting and replying to the forum. He had posted a couple of times this morning. Don't understand really why he is currently having trouble.

He is being patient as he knows you all have your hands full at the moment.

Well I can't help other than forward the message to the admin. Guy, the new forum admin, has the key to these miracles.

Incidentally that "very well known" member apepars logged in and active at the moment. But this may well be an optic illusion brought about by whatever bug is in the forum settings involving profile changes.

Sharron,

Would you mind posting this as a 'reply' to your post in the Help Forum.

Thanks
John

Boo-hoo ... I've been locked out!!

I enthusiastically changed a few settings in my profile not realising that my account would then be de-activated. After some very long delays (20 mins maybe) I received an activation code. I eagerly hurried back to the forum, code in hand, but it is not being accepted. I tried the link in the email and also the direct method using the Activation form. No good.

Being patient, and appreciating you've all got your hands full I immediately demanded another activation email. This request is being studiously ignored and a new activation code is not being issued. I shall now go and sulk in the corner for a while and if an activation code is not forthcoming I shall probably have a tantrum.

Seriously guys ... no rush ... I'm going to leave you alone for today and see how things are in the 'morrow. Just wanted you to know about the 'problem' in case I'm not the only one.

I have sent a PM to both Webmaster & Guy with this same request. Hopefully it will get sorted.
