Hello,
My new website uses an iframe to show the information. The rest of the page is static but this page shows the counter. I know there is a system where you can use visible and invisible tracker to have pages counted, but as far as I know, the visible counter ALSO counts, so every new visitor has 2 visits on the first pageview. Then of course, only 1 pageview per page with invisible counter in the iframe. If this is true (which I think is), is there a way where the counter can be shown, but NOT added up, so that only the invisible counter adds up? Dirk. |

No. The counter always counts, whether it's visible or invisible. If yuo palce ti there twice (regardles if one version is visible and one is invisible) it counts twice.
You coul dput a different project counter on that page, or none at all. Normally one uses iframes to show saparate website content, not one's own web page. Perhaps you should look into using SSI instead of iframes.

I don't think you understand me correctly.
I have one webpage, but the skin of that webpage is static, and the contents are shown in an iframe. Every click on the static skin opens another page in the iframe. I want every click to be counted but the counter itself should be shown outside the iframe. That's why I want the invisible counter in the iframe, but I want the number of pageviews to be shown on the skin (I know it won't get updated on every click, but that's not important). Is there maybe another way to do this? I really think there should be a possibility to show the counter without having it adding up. Dirk. |

Sorry, no.
As I said, the better technique would be using SSI rather than frames or even iframes.
