Default confused

Just had an email from my ISP

Quote:
If you have changed your mailbox password since 18 October 2007 or change it before 13 December 2007, your mailbox password will not be reset and will remain the same.
I changed my password on 17 October 2007,will I need to change it again?

I haven't changed it since 18 October 2007, but I have changed it before 13 December 2007!

They plan to reset all passwords on 13 December 2007, unless your password falls into one of the categories above, but which one do I fall into?

Some pretty bad use of and/or logic from an ISP. But I think you're safe.

it says "...or change it before 13 December..." not "...or have changed it before 13 December..." thus if your change was in the past it's not applicable to this category.

thus change ur pass before dec 13th or expect it to be reset for u.

of course they could have phrased it more clearly by saying "...or will change it before 13 December..."

I'd read it as:

If you have changed your mailbox password since 18 October 2007 or you do change it before 13 December 2007, your mailbox password will not be reset and will remain the same.

Now I read this as if you change your password BETWEEN Oct 18 and Dec 13 their system will not reflect the change.

this is different from what everyone else sees which only underscores the need for clarity in emails.

Was there more to the message, like something saying that the ISP was resetting all passwords and if you didn't hop to it you'd get the one they assigned?
