I've noticed something odd about my visitor stats the last few days, and was wondering if anyone had seen similar or had any clue about what might be happening.
Over the last couple of days or so more and more of the location stats for my UK visitors appear to have come from Covent Garden Westminster, no matter what the ISP they have used is, this seems really weird, and isn't confined to one or two ISPs or server names. Anyone seen this with their stats, or got any clue as to what might be happening? |

Yes I have the very same. Started around the 16th March, all from Covent Garden and all different ISP's

me too
I thought maybe a few major ISP's had all switched to a major new data centre or something (based in Covent Garden), but that seems unlikely? |

Can I add a 'me too' to this Covent Garden thing as well?
I dropped a line to the StatCounter support email address a few days ago about this but hadn't heard anything back yet so thought I'd look on here. It seems to date back to around the 14th March for me. Anybody here listening who might know why this is? __________ David Mc London, UK |

Me too. Always seem to be Mac, 1680x1050, Safari, random times of day, always just the one same page. Weird.

I was quite relieved to find this thread, as I thought it was just my site that this was happening to!
I have been running a website for a church down on the south coast for about a year. I installed StatCounter just under a month ago and have been extremely puzzled by the number of visitors/searchers from the Covent Garden/Westminster area! We are only a very small church with not much to interest visitors outside the area, so I could not think what was going on! I was actually getting quite concerned, so I am somewhat relieved to learn that others are experiencing the same thing! We have had 22 visitors/searchers from the Covent Garden/Westminster area since the 17th March. The visitors/searchers have been using various browsers and have entered a wide variety of searches before being directed towards our site. Some have actually entered the church's name and location, others have found us through the website for our diocese. Of the 22, 14 have BT as their ISP. The others are T-Mobile (2), Talk Talk (1), Virgin Media (1) and Three (1). The remaining 3 show the BBC as the ISP, but these searches are seconds apart and have IP numbers just one digit different, so are presumably actuallly the same person (is it possible for an IP number to change slightly from second to second?). Am glad anyway that it isn't just our church that is being targeted! |

I should have added that I have had other visits from the ISPs mentioned that have show locations other than the Covent Garden area!
