Default I like my fans......i think

Hey all

Here is an slightly tech question:

It has been a while since i last assembled a PC from scratch and have a
query regarding fans.

I am currently installing 5 new Thermaltake smart fans into my new case.
(power is not an issue with my new 480Watt PSU)

The slots that i will be placing the fans are as follows:
-1 x rear exhaust fan (8cm) below PSU - Fanning out
-1 x front mounted Hard drive fan (8cm) - Fanning in
-2 x side panel fans (8cm) - Fanning in
-1 x Top case mounted fan (8cm) - fanning in

My question is are the fanning in/out setups correct and now here is a
detailed question.

The Thermaltake smart fan
(http://www.thermaltake.com/dcfans/smartfan/a202829.htm) allows 3 types of
configurations.
-Max power
or
-Auto via a sensor (if this option where to place sensors for each fan)
or
-PCI mounted controller (if this option what setting)

What configuration would be best for the fans or would it just be easier to
put them all on max since the life expectancy of the fans is 50000 hours and
the noise rating is 48.5dBA at 4800RPM . Taking into consideration that my
machine is off maybe100 hours a month.

Regards to all
